God it has been 17 years already, gosh looks like I missed 15 of these events. Next year I do my very best to attend the picnic... Living in South Florida and working for the Federal Government makes it difficult to get time off. (no excuse !!! like Manny would say). May you all enjoy the picnic ,each others company, and may God Bless you all... have a cold glass of funky cold medina for me..... God Bless the Homeboys !!!!!!

Just as Sugar said, the first picnic we did not have a care in the world. Just the homeboys hangin, but the concept has always been the same. People getting together and enjoying each others company, conversation, food and the funky cold medina. Through the years, the marriages, birth of children, divorces, grand children (yes, grand children), homeboys drift away and return, we have still managed to make this special time for each other. The years have brought differences and conflicts, but this group of people has always managed to grow and stay together. You can not find a more truly diverse group of people. Nationalities, religon, work, age and of course our opinions, but there has been the one constant in our lives THAT WE ARE TRULY REPRESENTATIVE OF BEING A HOMEBOY and this thing of ours has taken on a life of it's own. My daughter who is 8 years old looks foward to the picnic, through our relationship she has developed her own. Hope to see you all 09 July 2005. I will have the Pernils on the grill.

Hard to believe 17 years ago we were all sitting around with no cares in the world, no children and no spouses.... And here we are all grown up and loving each other... I can not wait to see everyone. James, Karen, Brandon & Christopher
